The power of effective networking has expanded

Businesses in the Wickford area were able to see the power of effective networking on Tuesday 24th January, when the ebn South Woodham Ferrers Group moved into its new venue. ebn (Effective Business Network) has been generating new contacts and contracts for businesses, and has now moved to a bigger venue.

On that date, the Group met at The Chichester Hotel, Old London Road, Wickford for the first time, from 7am until 9am.

Sally Laking, of Sally Laking Wealth Management and the Group Director of the South Woodham Ferrers Group, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for local businesses to use a tried and tested form of business networking.

"We were well looked after by the staff, whist our members and visitors were able to network in gorgeous surroundings, and enjoy a lovely breakfast.

"We already have 11 Group Members, and believe that we can double this number very soon."

ebn Managing Director Glenys Chatterley said: "We have 15 very successful ebn Groups that have brought together like-minded people who want to work with each other to attract new customers and boost their local economy.

"In all ebn Groups, we help local businesses to build their contacts through effective networking – bringing them new contracts from like-minded businesses, which will, at the same time, increase their local economy.
