Networking businesses meet at Essex cricket

Category: Special Events

Release Date: 20.06.17

Businesses from across the local counties came together this week, when one of the top Essex business networking organisations held its third corporate cricket day. The event was held at Essex County Cricket Club and was attended by over 80 ebn (Effective Business Network) members and their guests.

The Managing Director of ebn, Glenys Chatterley, said: "The event proved extremely successful, and we were well looked after by the staff. Members enjoyed lovely surroundings and front row seats to the cricket.

"This event brought together ebn members and their guests from all 15 of our Groups.

"At ebn, we believe that business networking is about more than just generating leads for other businesses in each Group, as there needs to be a proper relationship between business owners if they are to make good, personal recommendations to their own networks."

Sara Barnes, of E J Coombs Solicitors in Danbury and ebn's Group Director of the Baddow Group, said: "This event was really useful for networking – not only did we get to make contact with ebn members from other Groups and in other counties, but we met their personal contacts, too.

"Each Group is made up of representatives of local businesses and we meet every two weeks to support each other, share business knowledge and help generate business for each other, and this type of event allows an even wider collaboration between members.

ebn originated in Essex, and has expanded into Kent and Herts. Additional information is available at www.ebn.uk.com.
