Networkers to go glam at charity 'black tie' event

Category: Charity

Release Date: 06/02/2017

Businesses from across the local counties will come together on the 24th November, when one of the Essex top business networking organisations will hold its first charity 'black tie' event. The event will be held at the Ivy Hotel and up to 200 ebn (Effective Business Network) members and their guests are expected to attend.

Proceeds from the evening will be shared between six of ebn's charities: Age UK Essex, Havens Hospices, Dancing Giraffe, Parc Essex, SNAP, and Farleigh Hospice.

The Managing Director of ebn, Glenys Chatterley, said: "The event is looking as though it will be extremely successful; we have already filled tables, even though the tickets haven't officially gone out yet.

"This event will bring together ebn members from all 15 of our Groups in Essex, Kent and Herts, and we hope to get a good intake of non-members, too.

"At ebn, we believe that business networking is about more than just generating leads for other businesses in each Group, as there needs to be a proper relationship between business owners if they are to make good, personal recommendations to their own networks.

"ebn encourages each of its networking Groups to support a local charity; the members represent businesses based in the local community, so they want to support that community.

"Members have already started to come forward to sponsor parts of the evening. This will help us to raise a bigger amount for the charities taking part. If anyone else would like to help, please let us know."

Please keep an eye out on the website www.ebn.uk.com for more information. If you would like to get your name down for tickets, or even to book a table, please contact Glenys at Glenys@ebn.uk.com.
