The company is run by Ian West, who began his career with a degree in art and design, working in London as art director for a leading publishing houses as well as major advertising agencies. Qualifying in marketing, he then moved to the Midlands founding his own consultancy working on many major brands including Qualcast, Adams Foods, Evode, JCB, Lotus, Royal Doulton and many more.

In the late 1990's he set up one of the first digital divisions outside London. One-Marketing was founded in 2002 and has had a very focussed approach to digital, international and brand-focused marketing, with strategic alliances with a network of forward-thinking marketing services providers.

International business too has always been at its core. One-Marketing is a key provider of training, especially in the international and digital arenas, delivering training for exporters on behalf of UK Government.

Based in Essex since 2009, the consultancy is a constant evangelist for digital marketing as a cost effective solution for businesses of all sizes.
