Hello
We're throwing a party! Would you like to join us?
Every now and then you need an occasion to dress up and enjoy a really good meal with like-minded people. That's what we're doing on 24th November at the Ivy Hill Hotel (Chelmsford) and if you and your partner, best friend or business colleague, would like to come all you have to do is drop me an email or give me a call.

There's a three-course meal and there'll be dancing ...

...

If dancing's not your thing, what about posing for the paparazzi? There'll be a photobooth where you can get your snap with friends and only you decide how crazy the picture will be - there'll be props, I'm saying no more!

The best part of it is that it's affordable - just £55 per person - and we'll be supporting local charities: Farleigh Hospice, Havens Hospice, Dancing Giraffe, SNAP and Age UK Essex.

Go on, get your best kit out and join the party.

Call me on 07780 666726 to book your tickets, or email me at Glenys@ebn.uk.com to let me know how many tickets you would like

Networking business scores hole in one at networking golf day

Category: Special Events

Networking businesses were quick off the tee when one of the county's top business networking groups held its third annual Charity Golf Day at The Burstead Golf Club in Little Burstead.

The Managing Director of ebn (Effective Business Network), Glenys Chatterley, said: "At ebn, we believe that business networking is about more than just generating leads for other businesses in each Group; there needs to be a proper relationship between business owners if they are to make a good, personal recommendation to their own network.

"Each of our 17 ebn Groups in Essex, Herts, and Kent has a chosen charity which members support in different ways, and the idea of a Charity Golf Day came from a number of Groups.

"Our third such event took place at The Burstead Golf Club and both ebn members and non-members attended.

"The event proved extremely successful, and we were well looked after by the golf club staff, which is why we have decided to make this an annual event.

"The winner of the trophy was John Holliday of Pocknells LLP, but the real winners were all those taking part, as they cemented good business relations with the other golfers and the charity The Farleigh Hospice, which benefitted from money raised at the event."

Additional information about our Groups, and ebn events, is available at www.ebn.uk.com.

Networking businesses meet at Essex cricket

Category: Special Events

Release Date: 20.06.17

Businesses from across the local counties came together this week, when one of the top Essex business networking organisations held its third corporate cricket day. The event was held at Essex County Cricket Club and was attended by over 80 ebn (Effective Business Network) members and their guests.

The Managing Director of ebn, Glenys Chatterley, said: "The event proved extremely successful, and we were well looked after by the staff. Members enjoyed lovely surroundings and front row seats to the cricket.

"This event brought together ebn members and their guests from all 15 of our Groups.

"At ebn, we believe that business networking is about more than just generating leads for other businesses in each Group, as there needs to be a proper relationship between business owners if they are to make good, personal recommendations to their own networks."

Sara Barnes, of E J Coombs Solicitors in Danbury and ebn's Group Director of the Baddow Group, said: "This event was really useful for networking – not only did we get to make contact with ebn members from other Groups and in other counties, but we met their personal contacts, too.

"Each Group is made up of representatives of local businesses and we meet every two weeks to support each other, share business knowledge and help generate business for each other, and this type of event allows an even wider collaboration between members.

ebn originated in Essex, and has expanded into Kent and Herts. Additional information is available at www.ebn.uk.com.
