Network group launches in Suffolk port

Category: Networking - New Group

Release Date: 16.09.2019

Felixstowe is famous as one of the Country's major container ports but there's no containing the town's businesses as they get ready to launch a new networking group, so that they can help each other as Brexit looms large.

ebn Felixstowe will be launching on Tuesday 1 October 2019 at The Orwell Hotel.

Founder of ebn Glenys Chatterley said: "ebn (Effective Business Network) is a different type of networking organisation and is based on members meeting every two weeks for breakfast and to find out what is available from other members of the Group. There is no target for members to meet as we want referrals to be genuine ones that bring new business for our members.

"Having 13 successful groups in Essex and Herts, we launched our first Suffolk group in Ipswich earlier this year, which has brought together a diverse range of local businesses, from a Financial Advisor to a gas fitter.

"Following the success of the Ipswich Group, we received approaches from businesses in Felixstowe wanting to set up a Group there, so that they could mutually support each other as Brexit comes into effect. As we all know, businesses in the port town rely heavily on trade with the European Union. We are confident that ebn will be able to help and support local firms during this challenging time.

"Any business can come along to the launch event with the only cost being £12.50, which includes the price of a full English breakfast, to see how ebn will work for them. Places at the breakfast launch of ebn Felixstowe can be booked at http://www.ebn.uk.com/ .

"Membership is limited, so only one business from each sector is accepted as a member. Now is the time for local businesses to come along and see what Effective Business Network is all about."
