South Woodham Ferrers' networkers age for charity

Category: Charity

Release Date: 14.11.2016

At a South Woodham Ferrers ebn (effective business network) meeting recently, members took on the challenge of wearing age-awareness equipment to give an insight on the challenges faced in later life.

Member Jean Robinson, from Age UK Essex, took along the age simulation suit, which included gloves, glasses, joint limiters and muscle waste simulators, for members to wear.

These are all items that can simulate the challenges that later life can bring and this einforces the reasons why Age UK Essex exists to support thousands of people each year to manage day-to-day in their golden years.

Managing Director of ebn Glenys Chatterly said: "ebn encourages each of our networking groups to support a local charity; the members represent businesses based in the local community, so they want to support that community.

"The South Woodham Ferrers Group has done exceptionally well by joining in with their chosen charity's fundraising, and I am sure that the members will continue to support the charity each time they meet."

South Woodham Ferrers members meet every other Tuesday at The Lodge Country Inn in Battlesbridge. Further information can be found at www.ebn.uk.com.
